Layout day
It has been a long time coming, lots of late nights and early mornings getting to this point, but I am finally at the point I can decide on the layout of my book.
Kind of scary but exciting too. My wonderful daughter Emma, is going to be helping (as my tech/graphic knowledge and skill is almost non-existent.
I have looked at a lot of amazing books, written and drawn by very talented people and it scares me a little that I cannot meet their standards. But if I don't try then I will never know!
So today we are going to play around with the layout of the book, graphic position and font style. By Monday, I hope to have a layout I like and then I can get the book finished, ready for a trial run with a lovely young lady who's grandad's both have Dementia.
My hope is that this book validates her feelings, they are her own and there is no right or wrong way to feed, and give her a positive way forward to connect with her Grandad's again. That will be the 'make or break' of this book I think. After all I created it to help young people do just that. If it does not meet the purpose then it is just a book.
